ECOMOVE Festival Network

ECOMOVE International is based on the association of four prestigious international environmental film festivals and is committed to the use of high-quality media as an important tool for sustainability education and public discussion worldwide. The medium of film in particular offers the opportunity to appeal to people in an emotional and “sensual” way and thus encourage them to think and rethink. With this in mind, ECOMOVE aims to make films of high aesthetic and content value available to a broad national and international audience. Festival Network

In 2001, the “ECOMOVE - Festival of International Environmental Film Festivals” took place for the first time in Berlin, a “best-of” festival of the ECOMOVE member festivals. This festival was subsequently held during the Rio+10 Conference in Johannesburg/South Africa (2002), in Berlin (2003) and as part of the EXPO in Aichi/Japan (2005). Since then, numerous film events as well as media and educational projects have been initiated and carried out by ECOMOVE.
