Educational material

The Green Economy media package

ECOMOVE has developed a comprehensive educational manual tailored specifically to teachers, offering handouts, background information and films to help them effectively teach the topic of ‘Green Economy – Visions, Technologies, Opportunities’ in the classroom. In addition to the films, the DVD contains accompanying educational material designed specifically for use in environmental education.

The films provide numerous ideas for addressing issues of sustainable management. Topics covered include the consequences of unlimited growth, social enterprises, sustainable lifestyles and indicators of prosperity. How successfully and creatively can young people shape their professional future in/with ‘green professions’ and alternative economic systems? Impressive practical examples from Germany and the USA show a wide variety of approaches and methods and are intended to inspire others to follow suit. The DVD also offers personal insights and assessments on the topic from prominent environmental representatives, such as former Environment Minister Prof. Klaus Töpfer and Karin Kortmann (German Society for International Cooperation – GIZ). A total of eight figures from business, politics and the environmental sector have their say.

The media package consists of three documentaries, two short films, a TV report and bonus material. This bonus material includes English-language shorts and an in-house production featuring interviews with various experts. The DVD comes with a booklet describing the films. The feature films are divided into chapters for easier use in the classroom.

Unfortunately, the usage licences have expired, which means that the educational manual can no longer be ordered. We apologise for any inconvenience.
