Brazil is one of the most important players in the global fight against climate change. It is crucial to support Brazilian public opinion in favor of strict climate protection. The aim of this project is to develop a game-based learning tool (the Escape Climate Change game) based on an already proven concept. It will be adapted to the Brazilian reality and will deal with topics such as social justice and discrimination in addition to climate change.
The materials, including a teacher’s guide, are distributed to public schools in two pilot regions (Rio de Janeiro and Pernambuco). The target group are students (14-18 years old), teachers and multipliers. The project will also promote the exchange of knowledge and networking. The project is being implemented with two partners in Brazil.
