Next Exit Chemical Safety

Next Exit Chemical Safety is an educational project in which the main topics of the Basel, Rotterdam and Stockholm Conventions have been transformed into an interactive game and made available to schools internationally. The concept is based on the idea of escape games, in which a small group must solve a complex task within a set time frame. Educational material has been developed to accompany the game, providing teachers with a wealth of background information and ideas for further projects. In this way, Next Exit Chemical Safety aims to introduce young people to the topic in a playful way.

The project developed a game box containing all the necessary materials. It was produced in a print run of 1,000 copies in various languages (English, Spanish, German). In addition, a DIY (do-it-yourself) version was developed, which teachers can use to create the game themselves with little effort. This will ensure that the game becomes even more widely available.
