planet.move - Environmental Film Series in Brazil

Brazil is one of the most populated countries in the world. As far as environmental issues and sustainable development is concerned it faces some major challenges, e.g. the loss of biodiversity (especially in the rain forests), the exploitation of natural resources, the establishment of a stable and sustainable energy supply, fair water supply. Off course, this goes hand in hand with social responsibilities like the reduction of poverty.

With this special context of Brazil in view ECOMOVE had started a project on environmental awareness-raising. In this framework a series of films focusing on Brazil had been compiled. This film series includes 10 outstanding film and TV productions highlighting a range of environmental and social aspects. The film screenings took place in different cities and regions across Brazil and had been accompanied by interactive sessions with the audiences, workshops, exhibitions, amongst others.
